  1. When I try to run the app it doesn’t start up, but if I go into the app package and run the JAR file it runs fine. I am using Mac OS X 10.5.8 and I have Java 6 set as the default per the instructions.

  2. I’m seeing the same problem as AndyFromTucson. Once I run from the jar file the product works great – at least for merging pdfs. I’m running Mac OS X 10.5.8 with Java 1.6.0.

  3. The same for me impossible to lauch PDF sam it quit during lauching fortunately I have PDFsam 1.0.1 which work finely on my imac leopard

  4. I dont know which command can run the JAR file in the Terminal. Where do I find the needed JAR file? Is it in the SC? What is its full name? thank you in advance! f

  5. Andrea,

I already download the enhance one.
    i use it on mac.
    but i did not work
can you share to me, the guidance to install it.

    Thanks

  6. No problem, works fine in MacOs Sierra. The moment you click the icon for the first time, there is a warning. This moment, just open system preferences / securuty & privacy / general. There is a warning message at the bottom of the window about PDF SAM and a green button to the right, to allow this program to run. Just click it, use your MAC admin password and Good To Go!

  7. I upgraded to Sierra and PDF SAM will not work. Get the message To open “PDFsam Basic 2.2.4 app” you need to install the legacy Java SE 6 runtime. I installed it and it still will not work. Can you tell me what the problem is?

    1. Hi Mary,
sorry to hear that. We don’t support that version anymore, it’s years old, is there any reason why you want to stick with it? The new 3.3.5 should work without issues and PDFsam Visual too
